About PenTips Lite

Here you will find FAQs about PenTips Lite.

Yes, they are! The nice thing is that they hold onto your pen while you use it :) We recommend putting them back in the box when you don't use them, so they don't loosen up.

With a PenTip Lite , you get more control through the grip of the silicon provinces. This allows brush strokes to be more accurate and precise However it does not replicate the bumps and grooves of something like canvas.

No, they do not leave any stripes on your glass screen.

There’s no loss of accuracy and precision, because the technology inside the Apple Pencil Tip is what gives you this accuracy and precision. Our PenTips Lite, that you just slide over, add an extra layer for more grip which makes a huge difference in your experience.

We actually got this review from @penchantcalligraphy "So, using the Pen Tip on the Paperlike protector on my old iPad Pro was actually my best experience with the covers, strangely enough! So buttery smooth, and my lettering experience improved greatly." And we've heard from many customers using the Paperlike in conjunction with Pen Tips that the analogue feeling is actually enhanced.

On the contrary, PenTips Lite decrease the wear of your Apple Pencil tip and do not wear on the tablet screen surface.

What you'll find that make PenTips stand out, is the emphasis we've placed on using a more durable silicon material while adding a soft matte coating for a delicate feeling of grip.

We've noticed that our PenTips Lite take some getting used to, from losing it to wearing through it. We expect about 5-12 months of life from a set, depending on your technique.

There’s no difference in function per different color of PenTip.

Yes, PenTips Lite works with any screen protector (e.g our PenMat, or Paperlike).

About PenTips 2+

Here you will find FAQs about PenTips 2+.

Though they may look similar, the PenTips 2+ has a durable and grippy outer edge that sets it apart from the very glassy feeling from the factory Apple tip. Though not as grippy as the PenTips LIte, the PenTips 2+ is the most durable option and still provides enough grip to the screen to help control brush/pen strokes.

About PenTips INK

Here you will find FAQs about PenTips INK.

While it is not required to use the Pentips Ink with the PenMat, the combination helps achieve that pencil-like feeling.

About PenPad

Here you will find FAQs about PenPad.

When we designed our PenPad we focused on the ergonomics. Most of the digital artists we work with are professionals, who paint hours on end. Building a short cut device would mean we need to put comfort first. You'll find that we've tilted PenPad 6°, within the ISO 9241-410 recommended range. The range between each key - both horizontally and vertically - is 16mm. We've followed the study by Pereira et al (2013) from the University of Berkley to assist us in key spacing to optimize for speed, error, usability, and biomechanics for longer periods of time. The effort we put into this is what sets us apart from any other shortcut panel on the market.

Hold down the PenTips button and then use the increase/decrease button.

Make sure that the keyboard on your iPad is set to English (US). If you are still having issues after this, please reach out to us at write@pen.tips.

No, PenPad is only compatible with Procreate. (PenPad is not fully compatible with Procreate Pocket, the iPhone version of Procreate)

Press the "Actions Popover" button, tap "Prefs" before heading into "Gesture Controls". Where it says "Smudge" you can opt for different options as to how your iPad will respond to smudge. The square you see there, can be found under the Eyedropper button on PenPad.

About PenMat

Here you will find FAQs about PenMat

Yes, the magnets of the Penmat should be compatible with all screen protectors though the magnets, in some cases such as the thickness of the screen protector, can cause less magnetism between the PenMat and iPad.

Any screen protector that offers texture will wear out even the original Apple Pencil tip. If avoiding wear overtime is your concern, we suggest using PenTips Lite in addition to your PenMat.

To clean your PenMat, we would advise using a damp microfibre cloth. You can also consider purchasing Smudge Wipe, our suede-fibre cloth made to wipe the smudges off of your devices and accessoires.

Yes. The PenMat will start to wear down after 5-12 months depending on the amount of time you use it and the pressure you apply.

Yes it does. The feeling can be compared with that of a textured paper sketchbook or canvas.
