PenTips’ innovative new tech concept, the PenPad, has drawn in support from pledgers across the world to reach its Kickstarter target in only 11 hours.
GRONINGEN, 30 November 2021 – The PenPad is turning heads after receiving more than 350 pledges for its Kickstarter campaign as of 1 December 2021.
After rapidly achieving its funding target, the campaign was 200 percent funded at €20,000 (~USD23,000) after 24 hours, demonstrating a genuine connection between the PenPad and its market of digital artists.
Founded on an intuitive system of shortcuts for Procreate on the iPad, the PenPad’s overwhelming interest has seen its production start date move forward several weeks with distribution confirmed for February 2022.
PenTips' Founder and CEO, Marc Tuinier, said the ergonomic hand-held device was the solution to a faster and more efficient experience for Procreate artists.
“In the first day we sold 342 PenPads, which is a phenomenal outcome that shows this product is solving a shortcoming of Procreate on the iPad,” said Marc.
“The PenPad provides 23 intuitive shortcuts when using Procreate to remove the burden of manually switching functions with your Apple Pencil, and consequently losing touch with your artwork.
“We’ve seen a lot of pledges from the United States, but also great dispersal globally including the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Canada, Belgium, Sweden, France, and Austria.
“It is incredibly rewarding to receive such genuine interest from digital artists who recognize the innovation we are delivering with our products.”
PenPad is the latest in a range of tech products by a Dutch company, PenTips, whose existing creations have been designed to enhance the digital creative process for artists everywhere.
The PenPad’s Kickstarter campaign remains open through December to explore the product, ask questions, and make a pledge.
